I placed bids for an item on Ebay and won. I paid for the item with PayPal. The seller never shipped the item. I filed complaints with Ebay and PayPal. PayPal informed me that I needed to call them. They do not have a toll free number. I attempted to call and was placed on hold for a very long time. I did not try to call them again. Ebay informed that they were investigating the matter. You would think that they would have better control over the sellers on their site. This was the second time I was ripped off. I will not longer do business with Ebay or PayPal!!

I have had a similar problem, eBay claim they can not get involved between a seller and a buyer. EBay is allowing fraud sellers on its site, it is so easy to register a fake account on eBay, therefore eBay is accountable as well for fraud. It's very simple; eBay is not safe at all. I will never use eBay again and my friends and family have stopped using eBay after what happened to me. I don't believe eBay even do anything about the fraud, they claim to investigate but that is all BS. Be warned people, think again before using eBay.

Maybe it was because PayPal/eBay had a payment hold on ALL funds issued (including shipping). They have been in trouble for this in 2002 and are trying it again now 2009. They have the seven year itch I assume.

eBay's toll free as of 12/14/09 is 866-767-3340. Maybe this will help and be sure to have patience along with the charger for your phone if it does take a while. Good luck and remember not all sellers are phony.

I really can't believe you. eBay and PayPal always side with the Buyer...no matter what...it's totally f#$%ing nuts. I have seen PayPal refund money almost instantly on a claim from a buyer that was totally untrue.
