I bought a sword from leonmad (Leon Madorsky); he is in the USA, my delivery address was in the UK. I knew I would have to pay 5% tax and a handling charge but I did not mind this as long as the item was as described. Unfortunately the blade had been totally ruined with acid down one section which he failed to show in his auction pictures or description (he described the item as being in good overall condition). The item was not as described so I contacted leonmad who replied with profanities. I filed a PayPal complaint and ultimately got the auction amount and his shipping cost back, although I had lost the import tax / handling charges I paid and also the shipping costs back to him.

When I filed the PayPal claim leonmad was not happy and started threatening me; he said he would ruin my auctions and leave me tons of negative feedback unless I dropped the claim. Then he started bidding on my auctions to try and derail them. When I complained to eBay they did nothing. Of course I blocked leonmad from bidding again, but he did not stop. He has several other eBay accounts including mozilo1961 and papirus321 which he then used to bid at the last moment (so I could not remove his bids in time) on my auctions; these eBay users had verified their accounts with a PayPal account, so my / eBay's seller security (eBay allows you to block users who do not have a PayPal account) was ineffective. In total using several different eBay accounts he derailed 7 of my auctions (never paid of course) and left me negative feedback en mass. I know it was him because I sent a test 1 cent payment to the PayPal account for the email address attached to the other eBay ID's he was using and this took me to my PayPal dispute screen with Leon Madorsky. When I sent 1 cent test payments to other PayPal accounts (my wife's and a friend's), I was not taken to the PayPal dispute screen with leonmad.

eBay were not obliging to say the least and it took me a long time to get the malicious feedback removed. eBay have allowed leonmad to continue trading on eBay and have not deleted his / the mozilo1961 and papirus321 accounts.

If you sell on eBay I would caution you about buying from leonmad in case you need to get a refund from him as it is clear this is what he has done to others as well.

I really don't have time right now, but I wanted to plant this seed. I recently had a huge issue with a non-payer with a feedback of 1 that purchased 6 items, didn't pay for any of those items, then left me 6 negative feedback comments for giving her 6 non-payment strikes. eBay of course did nothing about it and told me that it was not FEEDBACK ABUSE according to their policies. In retaliation, I created a BLOG on my account listing her account name and many others as DEAD-BEAT BUYERS. eBay found one of my Blogs, or it was reported by whomever and was removed. This is what they told me.
